Mission Adventures is a short-term outreach ministry for youth groups and families. Our program includes four days of training at our beautiful mountain camp near Cascade Idaho, followed by a six-day stateside outreach or a sixteen-day overseas outreach. You choose the date and location for your group and we take care of the details: food, housing, training, ministry planning and fun!
Mission Adventures is like youth camp followed by a mission trip where students get to put it into practice. Teens will be trained in how to share their faith and will experience being a witness for Christ in practical ways. It’s a life changing adventure. Come be a part of it!

IS MISSION ADVENTURES RIGHT FOR ME?
YOUTH GROUPS
A ten to twenty day, all inclusive mission experience with training for your youth group.
We do the work so you can do the ministry! One of our goals with Mission Adventures is to create an environment where you can bring your youth group to our camp, not just for a cool summer experience, but as a time set aside to meet with God. We’ll have great times of worship, teaching and training together to prepare your group not just for the 6 day outreach but for a life of missions wherever they live. Your team will also have great fellowship with our staff, other teams and individuals. If you have specific questions about the four days of training or six days of outreach, please contact us at missionadventures@ywamidaho.org. *Please note that your youth group may be joined by other youth groups and individuals.
INDIVIDUALS
Mission Adventures is typically for youth groups but we have many individual young people that contact us about wanting to join a team.
If you come on your own we work with you to fit you in to a current team that will be going to one of our stateside or overseas outreaches.
FAMILIES
A seven day, all inclusive mission experience with training for the whole family!
Training: Your family will be fully equipped with training for three days at our camp facility at Warm Lake near Cascade, Idaho. It’s like a fun missionary “boot camp” designed to prepare you to to do ministry as a family, not just on outreach, but for the rest of your lives.
Outreach: Your four days of training is immediately followed by four days of outreach designed to engage your family in sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways. We provide a variety of opportunities including praying, evangelism, caring for the needs of others and work projects. Through this type of hands-on outreach, your family will grow spiritually simply by putting the Word of God into practice.

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES
BOISE, ID (full)
The Boise outreach is an incredible opportunity to work unreached people groups right here in Idaho. In the past years, thousands of refugees from Africa and the Middle East have been relocated to Boise, Idaho. Many of these people would have never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel in their home country. Your group will work alongside ongoing ministries reaching out to these beautiful people the love and message of Jesus. Teens will also have opportunities to serve organizations who reach out to those on the streets through free lunches, prayer ministry and much more!
CASCADE, ID
Thousands of people flock to Lake Cascade State Park every week to enjoy water sports and the great outdoors. Your students will not only enjoy an incredible outdoor experience but will have the adventure of sharing the gospel with fellow campers and recreators. This outreach is strategically scheduled for the 4th of July weekend and typically features an iconic small-town parade and spectacular fireworks enhanced by the reflection of Lake Cascade. The Lord is planning divine encounters between your students and those who are destined for Cascade this summer.
INDIGENOUS PEOPLES OUTREACH (full)
YWAM Idaho has cultivated relationships with first nations people residing in Idaho and Montana. Your team will have the opportunity to take part in sports ministry, prayer walks, storytelling, children’s ministry and more to share the love of Jesus with first nations people. It is a true cross-cultural missions experience.
SALT LAKE CITY, UT
Your team will work along-side local churches and ministries with a heart to reach the Mormon Community. During the time at our camp your students will receive specific training on how to have evangelistic dialogues with Mormons and will put their skills into practice on outreach in Utah. Students will progress from being visitors on Temple Square to being capable of confidently sharing their faith with Mormons. Ideal for groups that live in LDS population centers. Most students report that this outreach has given them the confidence to dialogue with Mormon friends on a regular basis after returning home.
COEUR D’ALENE, ID
Witnessing opportunities abound in CDA. From doing evangelism while playing volleyball to walking through the park praying for others, CDA has many places to share the love of Jesus. Here, you will have the opportunity to put into practice the evangelism methods learned at camp. You will even have the opportunity to cross state lines to Spokane to go downtown and share the Gospel. Also, you will have the opportunity to do homeless ministry by partnering with the local soup kitchen!
TACOMA, WA
We will join up with Freedom River Outreach to minister to those on the streets. From the Peanut Butter & Jelly ministry to prayer walks & street evangelism, God is working in mighty ways in Tacoma. Your teens will have the opportunity to see the inner-city through God’s eyes and the destitute as children of God that he longs for us to care for. Your students will never be the same.
