Summer of Worship

1 Peter 2:9 “For you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”

Summer Of Worship is a 5 week program focused on discipling, training and releasing young musicians to influence culture, and impact lives for God’s kingdom through Worship.

Along with daily topical bible study, students will spend the 3 week lecture phase developing leadership and musicianship skills, rehearsing in bands, exploring music theory, songwriting, leading worship services, and studying the powerful roll worship plays in our lives.

This is followed by a 2 week outreach tour where students will travel and see God move as they lead worship, serve people, spread the gospel, and create a summer they’ll never forget!

Summer of Worship

Training Phase

The Training Phase is the first 3 weeks of the SOW.  During this time you will be living in our community housing with the other students and staff.  You will share meals together and make amazing new friends.  During the Training Phase you will be challenged to grow in your faith as well as in your musical abilities.  The training phase consists of equal parts of discipleship training in the mornings and musical development in the afternoon.  Students will also join YWAM staff in work duties at the base each week. Evenings and weekends will be spent performing at local coffee shops, leading worship, team building and having a blast!

Outreach Phase

The Outreach Phase will begin during the last week of the Training Phase.  We will move our classroom from Boise up to the mountains at our camp near Warm Lake.  Here will lead worship for YWAM’s Mission Adventure program as we wrap up our training.   The last 2 weeks you and your team will embark on a tour of the West Coast, partnering with the local church, joining prayer house worship sets, setting up spontaneous concerts on the street all while proclaiming the Good News of Jesus.

Staff the Summer of Worship!

We’re looking for people in love with Jesus who could help staff the Summer of Worship.  If you’re at least 20 years old and want to be a part of a life-giving community as you serve and equip others, let us know!
